Courier and logistics firm’s pride in service

Spicer International, based in Northbrook Business Park, in Worthing, has been nominated in the ‘customer service’ category by sales executive Janet Scott.

The small, independent company, managed by Stuart Spicer, was established in 2009, and won the ‘most loved courier services’ category for the entire UK in the 2013 National Campaign by The Best of Group.

With a host of website testimonials, the couriers count 5 Rings Telecomms and Clear Computing among its clients.

Its aim this year is to review and visit existing customers to ensure that it does not switch to a multi-national brand.

Janet joined the company earlier this year and believes it has an ‘efficient’ and ‘conscientious’ team.

She said: “Whilst our competitors have automated communication systems, we answer every single call and email in person which gives our customers accurate and real-time information.

“We provide a service to suit our individual customer’s needs, be it a simple collection and delivery, or a full storage, picking, packing, labelling and documentation service.”

The company prides itself on its ‘community conscience’ and passion for the ‘support local, buy local’ ethos.

It regularly fund-raise for local charity Love Your Hospital, supporting Worthing, Southlands and St. Richard’s Hospital through fun-runs, and help with Worthing Carnival.

Stuart Spicer has even agreed to take part in the 2014 London Triathlon, inviting local businesses to assist with the fundraising.

“Whichever way you look at it, Spicer International is incredibly good at customer service,” Janet said.
