She was attended by four bridesmaids – her twin sister Debbie Thorrington, the bridegroom’s sister Joanne Cordery, and friends Gemma Warren and Vicky Moody – and was given away by her father.

She wore a Kenneth Winston private label dress and carried a bouquet of red roses.

The bridegroom is the son of Ken and Corinne Cordery, and his best man was brother Adam, who travelled from the other side of the world – Perth, Australia – to be at the wedding.

Following the service, the reception was held at the Buxted Park Hotel, Uckfield, and included fireworks on the lawn, and the couple then honeymooned in the Maldives for 12 days. They will make their home in Worthing.
