Adur District Council’s licensing committee will write to interested parties within five working days with their decision.

The review of the Shoreham Airport festival, held for the first time in June, was triggered by the Shoreham Society over noise complaints.

They argued that sound limits outside the festival walls should be limited to 65 decibels to reduce disruption – 10 decibels lower than the current limit.

The hearing heard from both the society and organisers SJM, as well as numerous residents.

The organisers argued the current conditions were acceptable and that sound levels suggested by the society would risk the viability of the event.
