Police are concerned for the welfare of Jaadine Hobden and Jaydeene Boarer, who were last seen on Monday afternoon at 3.30pm.

Jaadine, from Hurstfield, Lancing, went missing after school at the Sir Robert Woodard Academy in Lancing, and is believed to be in the company of Jaydeene Boarer, 13, of Derek Road, Lancing.

PC Roisin Vafaee said: “We are increasingly concerned for the two girls because of their age and the amount of time they have been missing.

“There have been sightings of them in Portslade, Lancing and Worthing.

“We would urge the girls to contact us to say they are OK.

“Anyone who has information is urged to contact us on 101 or email [email protected]”.

Jaadine is described as having long blonde wavy hair and blue eyes and is wearing a green parka jacket with fur hood, black leggings and white Converse trainers.

Her friend, Jaydeene, has long straight brown hair and is wearing a black leather-type jacket and blue jeans.

A friend of Jaadine’s mother, Laura Moore, said the teenager had gone missing before for a few hours, but had been found safe and well in Portslade.

She said the family were ‘absolutely frantic’ and had been driving around looking everywhere at all hours for the missing pair.
