Shoreham Afternoon Tea Club has celebrated the 60th anniversary of Age UK West Sussex.
Guests at Shoreham Methodist Church hall last Wednesday were entertained by The Sundown Ukulele Band.
Jennifer Hawkins said: “The club is a place where people can meet up, get together for friendship and get support in their daily lives.
“A cake with ‘60th’ on it was enjoyed after some dancing and a sing-a-long to the music.”
West Sussex Association of Elderly People was founded in 1957 by West Sussex County Council. The organisation changed its name to Age Concern West Sussex in 1972, then in April 2010, it became Age UK West Sussex.
Shoreham Afternoon Tea Club is one of the clubs, classes and games afternoons organised by Age UK West Sussex’s Adur Community Clubs in Shoreham, Southwick, Sompting and Lancing. Visit for more information.
