Clerk to retire
STEYNING Parish Council is on the lookout for a new clerk, after Sue Booth announced her intention to retire in the coming year.
Vice-chairman Tim Lloyd, who chairs the finance and community committee, said the recruitment process was lengthy.
His proposal to begin the process as soon as possible was agreed by the committee on January 7 and adopted by the council on January 13.
Mr Lloyd said there would be a two-month handover period.
