CHRISTMAS comes early to Southwick with a weekend of special events later this month.

Southwick Square will be filled with stalls selling food, gifts and crafts on Saturday, November 29.

As well as the market, there will be festive music, carol singing and children’s rides and sideshows for the Southwick Christmas Festival, 10am to 4pm.

Sussex MS Treatment Centre has its Most Spectacular Christmas Fayre the same weekend, this year running over two days for the first time.

Organiser Jeannette Jones said the fayre will be open 10am to 4.30pm on November 29 and 30 at the centre, in Croft Avenue, Southwick.

East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton will be opening the fayre on the Saturday and Worthing town crier Bob Smytherman will be attending on the Sunday.

Jeannette said: “The fayre is now in its third year and is an amazing opportunity to buy all your Most Spectacular Christmas pressies, all under one roof, and support more than 20 local traders.”

There will also be face painting, Henna artwork, mulled wine, fresh bread and cakes, a tombola and raffle, including the chance to win a £375 Vivienne Westwood handbag.
