Charity for the blind appeals for Sussex fund-raisers

RNIB, the UK’s leading sight loss charity, is looking for a number of volunteers across Sussex to help them raise funds at supermarkets and shopping centres as well as placing RNIB’s iconic Sooty boxes in shops, pubs and leisure centres.

All funds raised will help the charity to provide vital services to blind and partially sighted adults and children.

Sara-Jane Woods, head of community partnerships at RNIB, said: “Volunteers are the lifeblood of our charity and we are always looking for more people to join us. If you are friendly and outgoing with an enthusiastic attitude and are willing to learn, we can offer you full and comprehensive training.

“If you’re looking for a new job, all the new skills that you’ll acquire with us can be put onto your CV to help with your future career. You’ll be secure in the knowledge that you’ll be making a real difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted adults and children in your area.
