Car torched in Lancing in ‘dangerous’ act

A red Toyota was set alight in Lancing in what police called a ‘dangerous and irresponsible’ act.

At about 6pm on Monday, November 9, a red Toyota Starlet, belonging to a local resident, was set alight and seriously damaged while parked in Sompting Road, Lancing.

Sussex Police are seeking witnesses to the incident.

PC Matt Welch said: “From our enquiries so far there is no obvious motive for this isolated but dangerous and irresponsible incident.
