Southern Transit is to introduce a summer season leisure route for Shoreham, Bramber, Steyning, Henfield and Horsham residents.
Last year, small local bus company Southern Transit trialled its new Adur Valley Line, route 3, affectionately known as the Steyning Flyer.
The new weekend route was welcomed by both residents and visitors alike, so this summer the service will run again commercially.
Starting at the Holmbush Centre in Shoreham, the route stops at leisure and cultural hotspots.
This will include Ropetackle Arts Centre, local markets and the Adur Outdoor Activity Centre.
Ride the bus to Bramber to the ancient remains and spectacular views of the castle.
Next the historic market town of Steyning, followed by lovely nature walks at Tottington Woods and Woods Mill.
Henfield’s bustling High Street full of shops and restaurants is a popular choice for shoppers.
Further out of town both families and pizza lovers can enjoy The Bull Inn.
Followers of the Real Ale Trail will want to visit The Partridge in Partridge Green and garden lovers can explore The Camelia Botnar Homes and Garden Centre.
You can also alight at Southwater Country Park for both relaxing land or adventurous water-based activities.
Finally the route ends at the bus and train station in Horsham offering excellent links for further travel.
On August 22 and 23, use the service to visit the Shoreham air show without the worry of driving and parking.
On August 31, bank holiday Monday there will be an opportunity to travel the route in style on one of the iconic Routemaster buses.
Look out for the distinctive booklet containing route and ticket details.
The number 3 Southern Transit bus starts on Saturday July 25 and runs every weekend until Sunday September 6.
The low floor, wheelchair friendly buses will run every two hours. Discovery tickets will be accepted and sold, along with valid, concessionary passes.
