BREAKING NEWS: Girl, three, hit by a car in Sompting

A three-year-old girl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Sompting today (August 19).

The incident is believed to have involved one car on Abbey Road.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said the girl was taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.

Police said: “Police were called just before 4.20pm on Wednesday, August 19, to a report a 3-year-old girl had been hit by a car on Abbey Road, Sompting.

“The child has been taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.

“The vehicle was still at the scene. No arrests have been made.”
