The Shoreham Opportunities for Learning Disabilities shop, in High Street, was opened by Carolyn Shrosbree and her partner James Lowe last November to provide realistic work experience for adults with learning disabilities.

Carolyn said: “It has been a year since SOLD opened and it has been an amazingly busy and full-on year – much more than we expected, which is obviously great but somewhat overwhelming.”

To celebrate its first birthday, the shop is holding a special one-day event on Saturday, offering buy one, get one free on all stock.

Plus the singer who performed at the shop’s official opening, Daniel Wakeford, who has since appeared in the Channel 4 series The Undateables, will be singing again to help mark the occasion.

Carolyn said: “We are keen to celebrate everything we have done in the last year, thank all our lovely and generous supporters and get together all the people who have been part of the project over the last year.”
