Artist and her students to exhibit new paintings

AN artist will be exhibiting her new collection of paintings alongside her students’ work this weekend.

Lyn Bedford-White will be showing a large number of her artworks, including her new landscape paintings, at the recently-restored 16th century Hobjoins Barn in Hyde Street, Upper Beeding.

The exhibition will run from 11am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Tea, coffee and cake will be served with all donations going to Cancer Reasearch UK.

A sunny terrace and children’s play area will be available.

Lyn Bedford-White has been painting her whole life and says she has seen and been inspired daily by the beautiful countryside that surrounds her.

On September 21, there will be one-off, all-day life-drawing session, with both male and female models.

“Our classes are untutored and relaxed,” said Hobjojns Barn owner Lucy Watt.

“Everyone is welcome and there are plenty of friendly artists on hand to offer advice and guidance.”

The class runs from 10.30am to around 4pm, and costs £60 a person.

Guests are advised to bring lunch but refreshments will be provided and are included in the price.
