Appeal after man stabbed in Angmering

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a 25-year-old man from Rustington who was attacked in Station Road, Angmering, on Tuesday evening, February 23.

The victim was with a man and woman and all three had crossed the level crossing, walking north on Station Road after visiting the nearby Co-Op supermarket, when the assault occurred at 8.30pm.

The victim sustained a small stab wound to the abdomen, which required hospital treatment.

His assailant is described as a white man, aged 18 to 25, 5ft 8in to 5ft 11in, of slim build build and with dark hair.

He was wearing a black coat, black scarf, and black or dark-coloured jeans.

He was riding a mountain bike and had a dark coloured draw-string bag on his back.
