Albion’s weekend odds: Millwall

THE Seagulls’ season is well and truly up and running after the 2-0 success against Burnley signalled back-to-back wins and successive clean sheets for Oscar Garcia’s side.

Albion entertain a Millwall side on Saturday who have picked up just one point from their four Championship games to date, and that was courtesy of a late Andy Keogh penalty at Hillsborough against fellow strugglers Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.

Garcia’s men are into 20/1 at BetVictor for the title, 6/1 to be promoted, 4/11 for a top-half finish and 9/4 for a top-six finish, but they really need to pick up maximum points this weekend given three of their four games in September are away from the Amex and those visits include trips to Reading and QPR within four days of each other after the international break.

Troy Deeney remains 6/1 favourite to be the Championship top scorer with Jordan Rhodes and Jose Ulloa 8s, Charlie Austin 12s and Adam Le Fondre, James Vaughan and Andrew Johnson 16s.

The Seagulls’ are 3/4 to land their hat-trick with the tame-looking Lions 19/5 and the draw at 27/10; both teams to score is priced at 10/11 with one or fewer of the sides to score at 9/10. Albion are also 5/4 at BetVictor to keep a clean sheet.

Ulloa to score the only goal of the game is priced at 20/1 and popular, but what is vital is that Brighton pick up maximum points ahead of the international break; QPR are the 7/2 favourites for the title with Watford 5s, leaders Forest 6s, Leicester 9s and Reading 10s.
