Agency earns prestigious gold award

A SHOREHAM company has achieved the prestigious Investors in People Gold Standard Award.

The Foster Care Agency, in Brighton Road, is celebrating the achievement, as one of fewer than 700 across the UK to receive the award.

Part of the National Fostering Agency Group, it had to complete an intensive assessment process over 14 days, involving interviews with more than 150 staff and carers.

John Telfer, managing director of Investors in People (IIP) South, said: “The current economic climate makes it even more important that an organisation adapts to the prevailing environment.

“The NFA Group is a shining example that proves organisations can achieve great things in challenging times.”

Less than three per cent of organisations with IIP achieve gold standard accreditation.

Iain Anderson, NFA group chief executive officer, said: “I am delighted for everyone at the Foster Care Agency, as this extremely prestigious award validates the excellent practices in terms of potential and existing employees and carers.

“It demonstrates what a great and well-trusted local service the Foster Care Agency delivers day in and day out to ensure the very best possible outcomes for the children and young people in our care.”

Suzanne Robson, HR director for the NFA Group said it reflected the consistency of their processes across the organisation and its ‘overarching team culture’.
