Activity day has Victorian period theme

STEYNING Museum is hosting a Victorian-themed children's activity day during half term.

The annual event will take place on Thursday, October 30, and there are two sessions available, 10.30am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 4pm.

Erica Gayler said: “The children will have an opportunity to try on Victorian-style costumes, design and make a Christmas card, and play with wooden toys, bagatelle, shove ha’penny and brass rubbing.”

Entry is £1 per child per session. The event is designed for primary school aged children.

The museum, in Church Street, Steyning, is open all year round. Morning sessions are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10.30am to 12.30pm. Afternoons are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, 2.30pm to 4pm. On Saturdays, it is open all day.
