Hundreds of screaming girls queued for hours to see singing star and reality television favourite Peter Andre when he visited Shoreham on Thursday.

Peter, who lives in Brighton, was promoting his latest album, Unconditional Love Songs. He was followed by the film crew for his ITV2 reality show, Going It Alone.

Michelle Huggett, 33, a mother of two, of Hurstfield, Lancing, was one of the first to meet the star with sons Jacob and Scott.

“He asked what was wrong with Jacob, because Jacob is in a wheelchair, and he brought Junior over to meet Jacob,” she said. Seven-yearold Jacob said: “It was nice.”

Devoted fans started queueing at the Holmbush shopping centre, Shoreham, at 10am on Thursday.

By the time the star walked through the Tesco store to the signing areas at 5.30pm, hundreds of screaming girls were in a line weaving round the outside of he building.

“He’s just so beautiful,” shouted one girl.

Kim, 27, from Worthing, said: “He’s a fantastic bloke, fantastic father figure and we all love him.”
