Worthing Hospital praised for care

WORTHING Hospital has bucked the trend after it was praised for its standard of care in a recent report by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

A report by the CQC said the hospital met “all the essential standards of quality and safety” and said those who used the service benefited from safe quality care, treatment and support due to “effective decision making” and the “management of risks to their health, welfare and safety”.

The glowing report stands out from the CQC report published today (Thursday, October 13) where numerous hospitals across the country have been slated for their low standards of care for older people.

However, Southlands Hospital, in Shoreham, also bucked the trend, receiving positive comments in today’s report.
