Social distancing lines introduced on Worthing promenade

Social distancing lines have been introduced on Worthing promenade.

The seafront has proven a popular place for people to take their daily form of exercise, as approved by the Government during the lockdown. But there had been criticism from some quarters that these spaces, along with parks, were becoming too crowded and people were not abiding by social distancing rules, to stay two metres apart from people not in your household while outdoors. To combat this, the promenade has been separated into two lanes with a two-metre gap in-between. From pictures, it appears that it is having an effect, with joggers and walkers staying within these lanes.
