7thSense Design took delivery of 1,800 marks from a partner organisation in China, Wincomn Technology, over the past month and saw them distributed to frontline workers around Shoreham, Southwick and Worthing.

7thSense Design's chief executive, Matt Barton, contacted his local councillor - Shoreham Beach's Joss Loader - who passed on the masks to East Worthing and Shoreham MP Tim Loughton.

Matt said: “Our partners in China generously sent us a large quantity of masks to assist in the fight against Covid-19.

“As a company, we are in the fortunate position that nearly all of our staff have been able to continue working full-time from home and therefore already social distancing. We felt that the masks we received should be made available to those on the front line who are doing such great work during this difficult time.”

MP Tim Loughton delivered the first batch of 600 masks on Good Friday to Guild Care workers in Worthing, as well as other volunteers and local care homes.

The long-serving Conservative MP thanked 7thSense Design for its donation.

“I was delighted to be able to distribute most of them to the charity Guild Care, which operates a number of care services around Worthing and has been a high-profile charity in the town since 1933," he said.

“Some of them were taken by the team organising the volunteers at Worthing Town Hall making essential deliveries to local people and organisations, whilst I distributed the rest to a couple of care homes in Shoreham and Southwick who had specifically contacted me about a shortage of PPE.”
