The latest coronavirus figures for West Sussex released today (Sunday, May 3) show a rise in hospital deaths.

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH) has now recorded 202 deaths, an increase of seven from Friday (May 1).

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs hospitals in Chichester, Worthing and Shoreham, has recorded 82 deaths, an increase of two since Friday.

Sussex Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s total remains at 14.

Public Health England data says 1,172 people in West Sussex have tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19), according to figures published today.
