100 days of lockdown in Worthing, Adur and Littlehampton - in pictures

It has now been 100 days since coronavirus turned our worlds upside down and the UK entered full lockdown.

The end of March brought eerily deserted high streets as Worthing, Adur and Littlehampton embraced this frightening new reality. But community spirit shone through everywhere, with children sticking rainbows on their windows, claps for the NHS every Thursday night and thousands of hand-stitched face mask donated to those who needed them most. As we move into July, our high streets are slowly reawakening and, from Saturday, another huge step out will follow as pubs, restaurants and theatres reopen their doors. Lockdown has been an emotional rollercoaster and unlike anything the vast majority of us have experienced in our lifetimes. Whichever way you look at it, we are all living through a hugely significant piece of history that will be studied and discussed for generations. These pictures give some snapshots of 100 days of life in lockdown.
