Everyone knows that the technology industry is one of the most profitable in the world, generating billions upon billions of pounds in revenue every year. Therefore, the investors and entrepreneurs involved in the tech industry are some of the richest people in the world.

Using his education to his advantage, he then went on to find great financial success in real estate investments and the tech industry.

Now, Kohli is pouring his capital into the Tej Kohli Foundation. This organisation aims to cure corneal blindness across the world, focusing on areas like India where Kohli grew up and was surrounded by sufferers of this ailment.

Steve Ballmer

Steve Ballmer is the former CEO of Microsoft, one of the biggest tech companies in the world. He joined the company in its earliest stages – being the 30th employee to start there – and eventually he climbed to the very top.

After leaving his position at Microsoft, Ballmer has shifted his focus towards more philanthropic ventures. For example, he and his wife are the founders of the Ballmer Group, an organisation which raises money for children in the USA who come from impoverished backgrounds.

His goal is to disassemble the class system, allowing young people to fully self-actualise regardless of their upbringing.

Jack Ma

The co-founder and executive of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma is one of the pioneers of the e-commerce movement in 2014. He also invested much of his wealth into the tech industry, providing him and his company with profitable returns.

After stepping down in September 2019 from his position as executive chair of Alibaba, Ma turned his efforts towards philanthropy. Coming from China, he is focused on discovering and developing talent in the rural areas of his home country.

Laurene Powell Jobs

Laurene Powell Jobs is the widow of Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple. After her husband passed away in 2011, Powell Jobs inherited billions of dollars in stakes. She used this money wisely and compassionately, founding the Emerson Collective and the non-profit organisation College Track. Her philanthropic ventures are mainly concentrated on providing better education to low-income students.
