Traffic after vehicle's wheel falls off

Sussex Police were called to the A283 just north of the Adur flyover in Shoreham at 1.20pm today after a vehicle suffered the malfunction.

They closed the road temporarily while police diverted traffic, and it was reopened at 2.10pm.

Police said there were no other vehicles involved, and no-one was injured.

As a result, there is some backed-up traffic on the A283 and the A27 Shoreham bypass.
