The supermarket is planning to open in The Range in Ham Road, as part of an ongoing partnership between the two companies.

A spokesman for The Range said: “From your essential fresh fruit and veg to Gregg’s and Slimming World specials, your new Iceland in The Range Worthing will be packed full of everything you need for your weekly food shop. Including meat and dairy produce, alongside store cupboard staples and frozen food, there’s plenty to choose from.

“Snacks, sweets and ready meals galore. Alongside fresh produce, the Iceland selection features Gregg’s famous sausage rolls in frozen form (perfect for a quick lunch), affordable multipacks of crisps to keep the kids happy, and even a wide choice of frozen desserts, Slimming World ready meals, and your classic on-the-go favourites like Naked Noodles and Cup-a-Soups.”

Social distancing markers have been added to the shop floor and sanitising stations at the entrance. Contactless car payments are also encouraged.

The Range will also be extended to include a garden centre while the new Iceland department is fitted.

An Iceland café will also be introduced, to open when lockdown restrictions are eased.

The new store is planned to open on Friday, March 12.
