Littlehampton pub gets makeover thanks to kind volunteers: take a look inside

The Dolphin pub in Littlehampton High Street has been given a makeover, thanks to the help of volunteers.

After landlady Ellie Boiling, pictured inset, warned the pub’s future looked bleak, because of the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, people stepped up and rolled up their sleeves to give the pub a lick of paint in the hope of enticing customers back. The pub dates back over 350 years and counts the poet Lord Byron as a former patron. And with Hallowe’en just around the corner, no makeover would have been complete without some spooky decorations – all the more fitting, given The Dolphin is reported to be one of the most-haunted pubs in the country.
