Chance to win free broadband

Aimed at school children aged 4-11, the designs need to be eye-catching as well as promoting the importance of staying safe online.

The posters can be drawn, painted, collaged or designed on a computer, and should be as creative as possible.

The winning student’s school will receive free Exa broadband for a year as well as a new iPad Mini for the winning student. The student in second place will receive a new Archos 79 Xenon Tablet and the student awarded third place will receive a new Sony W800 Digital Camera.

James Stoner, managing director of JSPC, commented: “Technology is changing so rapidly all the time and so there are constantly new potential dangers. Our work in the education sector helps us understand and recognise the importance of children staying safe online.”

A panel of judges made up of James Stoner, who is the founder of JSPC Computer Services, local MP of East Worthing & Shoreham, Tim Loughton and Gary Shipton, Editor in Chief of Sussex Newspapers will select the three winners.

Entries should either be emailed to [email protected] or posted to the JSPC office address. The deadline for the receipt of entries is February 3 2015 and the winning school will be notified by post or by telephone by February 10 2015.

All entries need to be labeled with the child’s name and age as well as the school’s name. If your child is interested in submitting a design, they should contact their school’s Headteacher.

The competition aims to raise awareness of Safer Internet Day on February 10th, promoting the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people.

The computer services firm provide ICT support for over 200 primary and secondary schools across Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, supplying everything from broadband and data backup to licensing, e-learning support and technician services.

JSPC are very passionate about contributing in a positive way to the local community and are involved in various charities and local projects, including the Northbrook College Apprenticeship Scheme and the Worthing Herald Business Accelerator Scheme.
