The company, which sells over one million thermometers annually, had a turnover of more than £9.6 million in 2013, and won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade in 2014 for the second time.

“We are delighted to sponsor the Innovation category for this year’s Awards, having won this particular award at last year’s event,” said David Carter, commercial manager at ETI.

“Innovation is the life-blood of any business, be it in new products, marketing strategies, financial policies or simply the way a company develops the perception of its customers.”

“To stand still is to be going backwards in today’s market place and for the UK to succeed on the global stage, there needs to be continual improvements in performance.”

ETI’s worldwide export sales have increased by over 90 per cent over the past few years, with their main export markets being the USA, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

“Our pride in being a British manufacturer was boosted in 2000 when Tim Loughton raised our concerns in the House of Commons that there was no made in Britain logo – however, this has now been achieved by the Made in Great Britain Campaign Ltd, and we would encourage participation at www.madeingb.org,” said Mr Carter.

“ETI wish all participants well in the 2014 awards and believe that even the process of entering will promote an innovative approach to what is achievable.”
