The music will be at the Old House at Home at West Wittering, its third different venue in its three outings so far.

But Olivia, as musical curator, is confident the festival’s got the right venue this time as it seeks to establish itself.

“The idea is that it is a one-day music festival, and its primary aim is to showcase local and regional talent and raise as much money as possible for two charities.

“This year, it is the Alzheimer’s Society, and we are also raising funds for Witterings school that needs money to build a new swimming pool. It’s two very good causes, one very local and one national.”

Part too of the idea is to fill a gap in the market, Olivia says.

“There really is a lack of events like this now within the Chichester area now that we haven’t got things like the Real Ale and Jazz Festival.”

As for the music: “They are all acts that I have seen or have heard of, but primarily acts that I have seen. I like to have seen them all before, all except one act this year, The Underagers who are all under the age of 18 and are absolutely phenomenal, so I am told. The music is formidable. The guitarist started playing when he was knee high to a grasshopper and was already playing like Jimi Hendrix at the age of 11. I am sure he will end up with a huge career in music.

“There are nine acts in total. The last act goes on at 8pm, Funky Junction. Funky Junction are the first band I ever fronted, back in 2009. With Funky Junction, it is all about getting down and having a good old boogie. It’s all classic soul and disco hits from the 70s onwards, Saturday Night Fever meets the Bee Gees!”

Olivia, who sings as Ruby Tiger, is also expecting to take to the stage: “I am hoping to do a special guest spot with the Robin Bibi Band and sing a couple of songs with them. They are one of Sussex’s foremost blues-rock bands.”

Olivia is also delighted to have on the programme Red Butler, an award-winning blues-rock act from Uckfield.
