“We have carried out risk assessments for our room hirers, our staff and restaurant; cleaning, hand washing and hygiene procedures in place for our toilets and key touch points around the building; reassessed the numbers we can take in each room for bookings to ensure our customers can maintain a safe distance; hand sanitiser stations and added screens at both our caretaker and office counters; introduced a one-way system within the Civic Centre with clear access through our corridors to reduce touch points and risk of contact; reduced the number of Town Council staff working in the office at any one time; procedures in place to monitor the temperature of our staff on a daily basis as they enter the building.

“Check out our website for the new numbers for our rooms to hire

“The Luxford Restaurant is now open. Initially the restaurant will open Monday to Friday during July, whilst keeping to its normal opening hours of 9.30am to 3.00pm. This will be reviewed for August in line with UK Government announcements.

“A considerable amount of work has been undertaken to ensure the safety of all customers and staff. The restaurant has been rearranged to allow for ample social distancing and, of course, there is plenty of outside seating when the weather allows. The staff will work to ensure that customers still enjoy the same friendly, relaxed service albeit in a slightly different environment.
