Roman thriller author Ben Kane in Chichester

Roman thriller author Ben Kane will be appearing in full Roman armour in major Roman cities around Britain, including Chichester on Wednesday, May 6 at The Novium Museum.

He will be speaking about his new book’Eagles at War and about his experiences walking from Pompeii to Rome (over 200km) in Roman uniform for charity in 2014. Ben and fellow historical authors, Anthony Riches and Russ Whitfield, raised over £20,000 for Medecins Sans Frontiers for their ‘Romani’ walk, and it was filmed for a documentary - voiced by Sir Ian McKellen.

This follows the success of the first ‘Romani’ walk in 2013 along Hadrian’s Wall - again in full, authentic Roman regalia, right down to the leather sandals.

Tickets for the event at The Novium, Chichester are available on 01243 775888.
