Olly Murs at The Brighton Centre

The cheeky chappy from Essex made a very welcome comeback to The Brighton Centre for a third year with support from Britain’s Got Talent finalists The Loveable Rogues.

This was the first year that the Brighton Centre has had a standing area for an Olly Murs concert. The Centre was full to the rafters with fans who were so excited to see Olly’s return to Brighton.

With three albums under his belt, there is a huge amount of material to choose from.

The evening started with his brilliant new hit, Army of Two, then continued with all of Olly’s hits right from the start of his career, 3½ years ago.

There was section where there were a couple of energetic covers - Should I Stay or Should I Go by the Clash and also A Town Called Malice by The Jam.

A slight wardrobe malfunction did leave Olly slightly red cheeked but caused great amusement in the audience.

Busy and Heart on my Sleeve were performed as guitar acoustics and One of These Days, from his new album, on the piano.

The new album, Right Place, Right Time has been out for a few months now and the audience had done their homework, singing along with all his new material.

Heart Skips a Beat was the last hit of the night before the brilliant encore.

Title track from his new album, Right Place, Right Time was the first encore hit and was so energetic that Olly was left lying on the floor at the end, exhausted. A quick recovery was in order for the performance of the last hit of the evening, Troublemaker.

Olly certainly puts his heart and soul into every performance and the evening proved that The Brighton Murs Army are keen to keep on marching.
