“Days will now lengthen, and light will triumph over the darkness of winter!

“Whilst primarily being a campaign group promoting and safeguarding our Downland, we have also organised a wide range of social and entertainment events this year, the first of which is the inaugural Ostara Spring Equinox Music Festival.

“We are hopeful that this will be a growing annual celebratory music event in Worthing.

“The entertainment ranges from traditional to electronic folk, including exciting new folk-hop group Yew 3ree; double-bass player extraordinaire Gary Holder with his group 3 of Us; pub circuit regulars, folk duo Magda and Peter; a superb solo acoustic performance from Ruby Taylor, leader of the band Tin Roots; traditional Sussex folk songs from Emily and the Hares; Richard Jefferies readings and songs from Paul Deacon, and

traditional Morris dancing from Sompting Village Morris.”
