LATE SHOPPING: Ice rink for Steyning

PEOPLE will be able to get their skates on, thanks to a £1,000 grant from the Chanctonbury county local committee.

Steyning Chamber of Trade has been awarded the grant towards the cost of a temporary ice rink as part of the late-night shopping event in the town on Wednesday, December 8.

Committee chairman Frank Wilkinson said: “The funding will help towards the cost of a fun event for Steyning residents and visitors and will really help get people into the festive spirit.

“The event provides a great boost for local traders and I’m pleased we’ve been able to support it.”
