FILM: Bobby Fischer Against The World

AS a teenager, Bobby Fischer became one of the dominant forces in world chess, winning tournaments with dazzling skill that would eventually lead him to take the World Championship title from the Russian player Boris Spassky.

However, for all of his genius, Fischer was poorly equipped for life in the spotlight.

Without the benefit of familial support, Fischer succumbed to paranoia and delusions and quickly became a recluse, turning his back on the game he loved for years until a high-profile rematch with Spassky.
