Bobby Wellins in Steyning

AN award-winning saxophone player will perform in Steyning tonight (Friday, August 3).

Bobby Wellins, who has just received the title of Musician of the Year from the Parliamentary Jazz Award group, is the latest musician to visit Steyning Jazz Club.

“Bobby is the musician’s musician, a saxophonist of vast creative experience and dazzling technique, his musical palette and style encompassing kitten-fresh cadences with a combined sense of vulnerability and fierce swing imbued with complex subtleties,” Colin Jilks, from the club.

Tenor saxophone player Bobby will perform at the club, which meets at the Steyning Centre, in Fletcher’s Croft, Steyning, from 8.30pm.

Doors open at 7.45pm.

Admission is £6 for members, £10 for guests and £6 for students.
