Jane Osler, chairman of Brighton & Hove Arts Council, said: “Our popular annual Spring Art Show, due to take place in April, was sadly another casualty of the pandemic.

“However, we are delighted to be running an online show.

“Brighton & Hove Arts Council has been at the heart of the not-for-profit arts community since 1974.

“We are a registered charity, completely staffed by volunteers, who have all been working hard to ensure that this year’s exhibition is a real success.”

He will choose a winner from the artists exhibiting in the show along with fellow judges Andrew Comben, chief executive of Brighton Dome and Festival; Jane Hopkin, chairwoman of Arts Society East Sussex; Karin Janzon, project director Hove Plinth, Hove Civic Society; Mary McKean, this year’s winner of the BHAC Contribution to the Arts Award and chairman of The Regency Society and Strings Attached; and Colin McKenzie, former director of the House of Illustration and The Charleston Trust.
