STOOLBALL: Angmering seal triple crown

ANGMERING Stoolball Club clinched the Sussex triple crown after defeating Stone Cross in the Sussex KO Cup final on Sunday.
Already the West Division champions, and the Championship winners, Angmering lifted the cup with a 170-run success.

Melissa Mantle top-scored with 145 not out in Angmering's total of 292-5 from their 30 overs.

Gill Hilliard added 47, Karen Harm
er 28 and Connie Chapman 20.

Angmering then excelled in the field against their East Division opponents, and Hayley Shepperd brilliantly ran out Stone Cross' Jane Jenner in the first over.

Kelly Finneran finished with five wickets for 35 runs as Stone Cross were bowled out for 112 in the 22nd over.

Angmering had missed out on the quadruple this year when they lost to Burwash in the Seaford Top of the League tournament.
