IT was very disappointing to exit the FA Cup at Hartlepool on Tuesday, especially with the draw we had for the next round.
And, after travelling to Carlisle on Saturday, we've returned from two long trips with no reward.

After the performance at Carlisle, the gaffer wanted a reaction at Hartlepool and the lads were fantastic in the first half.

It wasn't the prettiest of games but we went 1-0 up and were defending well as a team.

But the referee then gave them a penalty, on the advice of his linesman.

Their lad jumped into Colin Hawkins, as much as Hawks jumped into him, and the linesman gave it when the referee, who was five yards away, didn't.

And, as we've been doing recently when we concede the first goal, we soon conceded another.

Although we went up the other end and scored a perfectly good equaliser, the other linesman gave offside when everyone in the ground thought it was a goal.

Our substitutes, by the linesman, just couldn't believe he had given offside.

We put a fantastic effort in but the referee just killed us.

Our support for both games was unbelieveable. It's just a shame we couldn't give the fans any results to cheer about.

We've now got to recuperate and have a right go at Huddersfield on Saturday.

We're having one of those spells where we are not getting the rub of the green so, hopefully, we'll get some luck against Huddersfield.

They had a fantastic win at Leeds on Saturday and will be full of confidence, so we have to stand up and produce the goods.
