AN ANNUAL cricket match is to be started in memory of popular local cricketer Dave White.
The two clubs with which he was involved, Chippingdale and Highdown, will meet on Friday, August 1 at Little Twitten, the home of Ferring Cricket Club, at 2.30pm.

White's sudden death on July 29 last year brought a huge response at his funeral in Worthing and this cricket match aims to bring people - spectators as well as players - together to celebrate all about sportsmanship and friendship that White exuded in his life as a club cricketer and a travelling Brighton & Hove Albion soccer fan.

The party will transfer to Ferring's pub, the Henty, after the game ends.
