THE scanner appeal for Worthing Hospital is making progress with the
total now raised at £112,000.
The £1million appeal was launched by the Friends of Worthing Hospitals
group in September to buy the hospital a second CT scanner, which combines x-ray and computer technology to show "slices" of the body.

Group chairman Ron Noakes said: "I would like to thank all of the people
and organisations, who are too numerous to mention, for their generous
donations to the appeal.

"In addition to the donations already received,
many organisations have pledged donations and events in the future."

Ron gave special thanks to his daughter, Maria Grant, who ran the
Royal Parks half-marathon in London and raised £700 for the appeal.

Events coming up include the annual Boxing Day dip, the proceeds of which will go to the scanner appeal.

Ian Walker, 44, is hoping he can add around £1,000 to the appeal pot when he climbs Mount Kilimanjaro in February.

Donations can be made at www.ctscannerappeal.org.uk and people interested in arranging events should call Ron on 01903 872188 or
email info@ctscannerappeal.org.uk
