MORE than 40 years on an arts and crafts festival is still going strong.
The 43rd Shoreham Methodist Church festival will be open from 10am on Saturday (August 11).
With about 250 paintings and a dozen craft stalls, plus work from young members, the festival will fill the church, in Brunswick Road, Shoreham.
One of the exhibitors is knitter Valerie Owens, trading as Valerian Designs she has been selling her hand-knitted creations at the festival for years.
The festival will be officially opened by MP Tim Loughton at 10.30am on Saturday (August 11) and run until Thursday (August 16).
It is open from 10am to 5.30pm daily, except for Sunday when it is open from noon to 4pm.
Admission is free of charge.
Profits from sales will go to local and national charities.
On Sunday, there will be a dedication service, conducted by the Rev. Andrew Reed, at 10.30am, in the church.
