It’s been heralded with teaser ads and brief trailers but now Cinderella (U) has finally arrived.

This is the latest updated version of a Disney classic, with real people instead of animation.

Kenneth Branagh is the director and the cast includes Cate Blanchett, Lily James and Helena Bonham Carter.

The plot is unlikely to take anyone by surprise but the modern-day special effects look amazing.

From a multi-million dollar budget to a low budget sci-fi.

The Signal involves a road trip by some students who are drawn into an isolated area in Nevada by a computer expert.

There’s horror, chases and all manner of weirdness.

Brenton Thwaites and Laurence Fishburne star.

Seventh Son (12A) looks like nonsense, but fun.

With a cast including Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore and Olivia Williams it should be a decent movie.

Bridges is the seventh son of a seventh son tasked with keeping evil away.

He’s looking for an apprentice, though, to take over his mantle.

Will Tom Ward (Ben Barnes) fill the role?

Next we have Daniel Brühl and Kate Beckinsale in The Face Of An Angel (15).

A journalist and documentary film-maker set out to track down the truth behind a murder.

Get Hard (15) is the latest vehicle for Will Ferrell’s madcap comedy.

He plays a millionaire who is arrested for fraud and given a prison sentence.

In an attempt to toughen up he turns to Kevin Hart’s character to toughen him up.

Robot Overlords is being flagged up as being better than the Transformers series - and it’s British!

Gillian Anderson and Sir Ben Kingsley head the cast in a story that sees robots in charge of Earth.

The human survivors are confined to their homes and have to wear implants.

Will they tear off their shackles and bash the ‘bots?

Finally, we have The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water (U).

While it’s obviously aimed at younger viewers, Spongebob has quite a cult following among an older (university) audience.

And having seen the trailer it’s looks like it could be quite good fun.
