FERRING Country Centre's annual summer fayre, dog show and plant sale is being held on Saturday, June 20.
This year, the event – which runs from 10am-4pm – features a farming to food roadshow, which aims to teach children about where their food comes from.

Ferring Country Centre helps young people with learning difficulties, through work experience pr
ogrammes.

On the day, there will be animals including chickens, geese, turkeys, sheep, a pig and a Bagot goat with two-foot long horns for children to see.

There will also be a display of shepherding and coppicing.

Other attractions include pony rides, a family dog show, face-painting, an activity area for the children, a historic vehicle and fire engine display, a car boot sale, sideshows and cakes and refreshments.

The garden centre will also be open, selling plants and shrubs.

Karen Eley, event organiser, said: "We are delighted that this year's event will include the Farming Roadshow.

"It gives children a great chance to handle animals and learn more about the countryside."
