St Peter’s are champions of Sussex

For the first time ever St Peter’s CE Primary school are champions of Sussex in the FA Small Schools Football Tournament.

After qualifying for the finals in November the boys travelled to the University of Brighton for the Sussex finals on the 31st January.

Despite the blustery winds and the presence of the AMEX stadium over the horizon, the boys where unfazed and set the tone with a 5-1 win over St Michael’s in their first game.

This was then followed by 2-1 victories over both St Margaret’s and Wisborough Green.

The team is now eagerly anticipating the date and venue of the regional finals where they will fly the flag for Sussex.
