SHOREHAM Football Club player-manager Kane Louis is confident his side can turn their recent form around after they suffered a sixth successive defeat on Saturday.
Mussels’ last five losses have all been by just one goal and the current run follows a five-game unbeaten sequence.
Shoreham went down 2-1 away to high-flying Dorking Wanderers in County League Division 1 on Saturday, which left them sixth from bottom in the table.
Louis said: “It has not been the best of months for us so far.
“It all started with the defeat at Eastbourne Town and, since then, we have struggled in a few matches.
“Once you lose a couple of games, the mentality of the players’ changes and teams can begin to struggle.
“Another factor is that we have come up against teams who are on good runs and they are going into the games with confidence.
“It can be hard for a team to change their mindset when you are on a bad run but that is what we are going to try to do.
“We have got a really good footballing side but, when you are on a run like this, then it is not a case of the quality you have, it is a test of the boys’ character and, hopefully, that can shine through.”
