I HAVE two aims for this season and both involve going one better than last year.
As a team, we want to go one better than seventh place and get into the play-off positions. Last year, we didn't get off to a brilliant start so need to get off to a good one this season, so we are not chasing teams above us.
We want to be in and around the play-off positions all season, and make teams chase us.
On a personal level, I failed to score last year so I want to go one better and get at least one this season.
I had a few chances in pre-season, and on Saturday had a great shot from 20 yards which skimmed the post. I think the ball's still got paint from the post on it, so I'm getting closer.
I had a couple of chances last year, and even had two goals disallowed in one match — but I'm still waiting for my third career goal, after I scored twice for Coventry.
In training, I can't stop scoring, so it's annoying that I don't in games.
But at Crewe on Saturday, I didn't go up for corners, and I don't know if that's because of my goalscoring record last year, but it's certainly lessened my opportunities.

Kevin McLeod, the scouser, is really loud, and Adam Virgo's back, but Nicky Forster, the skipper, still has the loudest mouth at the club.
