IT'S a shame that the debate over the Cup Cakes Café has developed into a "them and us" situation between the supporters of the café and Shoreham Rugby Club.
It seems to me that the real issue is the way in which Adur District Council and its officers have treated the current tenant and the way it has forced through its decision without consideration of the local
electorate's view.

This is typical of
the current council on many issues.

Instead of complaining and writing to the local paper, people should take the opportunity of today's election to gettheir views heard.

Seek the opinions of the prospective candidates in your respective wards and vote on these, not blindly in party lines.

Local elections are about local issues, not national party politics.

If you don't get out and vote, don't complain.
