IT'S an absolute nightmare, without the addition of the road works on the bypass
Why hasn't the local council made it illegal to park on one side of Upper Beeding High Street, so that the road can be reasonably passable by the huge double-decker bus (why isn't this a smaller bus?) and the ever-increasing traffic.

People who li
ve on this high street park in the most haphazard manner, making the road more like a slalom.

Add to this the soon-to-appear bus shelter outside the King's Head – and won't it look completely picturesque!

Beeding and Bramber are villages, and leaving aside the amount of ill-thought-out building of new houses which continues to exacerbate the issue, they should be able to keep their streets at some level of usage and free passage.

As a new entrant to Beeding, I remain constantly amazed at the level of traffic passing through the village and cluttering the adjacent streets.

There is talk of restricting parking in Saltings Way – and where the hell are these people supposed to park?

This collection of houses was built with little or no consideration to the number of cars it would generate on the road – and now it seems that a simple "restriction" of parking will cure it.

How simplistic is this local council?

The planning of housing and its associated infrastructure seems to be of little or no importance.

If we continue in this vein, it will not be long before Beeding High Street will have to be made one way – coming into the village – and Bramber High Street will have to become the exit route.

Some consideration from the planners and local council, please.
